Measuring Guide ... Walls
When measuring the walls in your kitchen start off by measuring each individual wall along it's entire length - things lke doors, windows etc will be added later.
As said previously ...[Measuring]... it is highly unlikely your walls are plumb!
This can cause problems when planning your kitchen, as the wall might be slightly different lengths when measured at different heights as seen below:

You can see that although a 3m run of wall cabinets should fit on this wall, it would be impossible to install a 3m run of base units ... all because of the wall is a few millimeters "out of plumb".
Your walls will be a few millimeters out of plumb, and this is how measuring kitchen walls incorrectly can cost you big time!
So to rectify the problem, take your overall wall measurements as follows:

Remember to use the smallest measurement in your kitchen design (this will ensure that your kitchen will fit within the wall dimmensions - despite your walls not being plumb).
