Nottingham Castle (Lenton Rd, Nottingham NG1 6EL, UK)

This castle dates back to the 17th Century and it was originally founded by Norman the Conqueror before other successive kings came by and rebuilt it. So if you like history or would like to be taken aback to what it was like during the earlier centuries, the castle is full of art collections and boasts a rich culture. Wollaton Hall (Wollaton Hall, Nottingham NG8 2AE, UK)

Set in the scenic suburbs of Nottingham, the Wollaton Hall is basically an Elizabethan country house and deer park. It was built between 1580-1588 by Sir Francis Willoughby but at the moment it’s home to the City’s history and boasts reconstructed room settings. It sits on five hundred acres of healthy gardens. Besides the historical hall and its scenic grounds, you have a chance to visit the history museum, an industrial museum and also the Yard gallery.

Rushcliffe Country Park (Mere Way, Ruddington NG11 6JS, UK)

It’s not just the magical sceneries and breathtaking views that bring people to Rushcliffe Country Park. The park boasts almost 10 kilometres of footpaths plus conservation, grassland, and landscaped areas set aside for visitors. If you are cyclist, jogger, or you wish to take your dog on a walk as you enjoy a bit of wildlife, this is the best place for you. It overlooks a lake and also has a play area for kids. It’s an ideal place for a family day out.
